CRM_IPC_COMM_URL - Define URLs

In this activity you define the URLs with which the UIs for product configuration can be called using the Configuration Engine.

Maintain the following fields in change mode:

• Destination:,,Name of URL

For the product configuration, enter the value UI_CFG.

Note: From release 5.0, the input of a URL is no longer necessary for pricing.

• Calling application: With this, you navigate to a different UI depending on the calling application.

Note: In previous releases you needed to differentiate between different calling applications. However, as of release 5.0 only the interactive product configuration is supported, so you do not need to enter a value here anymore.

• URL: The complete URL under which the UI to be called exists.

• Specify the complete URL with which the UI is called. This URL must contain a fully qualified domain name (FQDN), that is, for the host name and the domain name , the URL must be:

http://myhost.example.com:/ipc/ipc/command.do

If you deployed the application under another name, for example, if you developed a custom-modified application for the product configuration, the URL would be as follows:

http://.:/<name of custom application>/ipc/command.do

• Use the same protocol for both interfaces (CRM WebClient UI and UI of the product configurator ). Either HTTP for both or

• Description: A description of this URL
