CRM_IPM_BEA_ARCHK - Additional Processing Steps Prior to Archiving IPM Billing Documents

The IPMI and IPMO Billing Engine applications use a feature-dependent processing logic as standard (difference calculation and clearing control) or as an option (internal clearing or accruals), which requires additional checks to be performed before billing documents are archived. Since dependencies are created between the different billing documents when this processing logic is used, which is not the case in the standard system (CRMB), it is no longer possible to define archivability using the "residence time" criterion in isolation.

Refer to the documentation for the IPMARCHK feature, which is supplied for IPMI and IPMO in an active format as standard.

The additional checks are implemented in a separate report /1BEA/xxxx_DL_ARCH_CHECK. ('xxxx' represents the application here, i.e. 'IPMI' or 'IPMO'.) Start this report or the associated report transaction /BEA/xxxx07 before executing the standard steps for archiving IPM billing documents each time. If you fail to do so, billing documents can only be archived using the "residence time" criterion if they do not have any dependencies with other billing documents.

If you are not using the options provided by the features described here and are only using contracts with a fixed license fee and no advances, this additional report is not relevant to you.
