Using the Business add-in CRM_ISA_BP_ADDR_BADI you can change your customer's address data before you transfer it to the corresponding update BAPI.

Included in the method SET_ADDRESS are an import variable and three structures:

IV_BPARTNER:

With the import variable the Business add-in is provided with the most recent business partner number. In create mode this field is empty.

CS_ADDRESS:

In create mode with this change structure, the Business add-in receives the postal address of the customer to be created. This address data can be changed and transferred to the update BAPI. In change mode this structure only contains the changed the address data. This data, and if applicable the existing address data can be changed with this Business add-in, whereby the corresponding entries in the structure CS_ADDRESS_X must be taken into account.

CS_ADDRESS_X:

This structure is only important for change mode. For each field in the structure CS_ADDRESS, it contains a checkbox accordingly. If you only want to change a postal address field, you have to select the corresponding checkbox.

ES_RETURN:

By setting the value 'E' in the field TYPE of the structure ES_RETURN you can draw the attention of the calling program to an error, so that the processing is terminated and the error message displayed that is generated by you in the Business add-in .

While creating a customer, you want to determine his tax jurisdiction code with the relevant district information, and tranfer these to the update BAPI. With this Business add-in you an do exactly this.
