With this IMG activity you have the option to make settings that differ from the standard for the user administration of the B2B scenarios for CRM E-Commerce (e-selling, e-marketing and Internet Customer Self-Service (ICSS)) and channel management.

  • The business partner grouping determines the number range in which a new contact person is to be created. Only a grouping with internal number assignment is possible. If the field is left empty, the standard grouping for internal number assignment is used.
  • The contact person role is used to create new Internet users. If you leave the field empty, the standard business partner role for contact persons (BUP001) is used.
  • The sold-to party role is used for the company search of a Web shop manager if no business partner roles were entered in the customizing activity Set Business Partner Roles for Web-Based User Management.
If you leave the field empty and no business partner role was entered in the customizing activity Set Business Partner Roles for Web-Based User Management either, then the standard business partner role for customers (CRM000) is used for the company search.
  • Using the maximum number of users, you can limit the number of possible Internet users per company. When a new Internet user is created, the number of existing users is compared with the specified maximum number. It is not possible to create another user once the maximum number of users has been reached.
  • The e-mail-address is used as the sender address for e-mail notifications. If no e-mail address is specified, the address of the current Internet user of User Management is used as the sender address.
