In this IMG activity, you make assignments for your BSP applications copied from the sample BSP applications for Web services between the reference user defined by you and the reference user variable used in the registration and/or master data change processes.

For new Internet users that need creating, the settings defined and authorizations are transferred to the reference user. The reference user is entered in the field Reference User of the new user master record. The authorization checks on the Internet user take place with reference to this user master record. If there are requirements for the respective BSP applications for different settings and authorizations to be supported, you must use several reference users accordingly.

Note:
If at all possible, do not change the assignment to a user master record later on as changes to the user assignment are not valid retrospectively for user master records already created.

However, in contrast to this changes made later on to the roles and/or authorizations of the reference users to be assigned affect user master records already created.

In the delivery Customizing (Mandant 000) no entry is delivered for the reference user variable $UAD_REFUSER used in the sample BSP applications in this IMG activity.

Before start-up, assign a suitable generally valid user master record. Choose a user for this from User Type Reference User.

You use reference user variable $UAD_REFUSER in your registration BSP and assign this to the generally valid user master record Z_I_CONSUMER. The user master record Z_I_CONSUMER from the user type reference user comprises all those authorizations that your customers and partners should have after registering when accessing via the Internet.
