This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the component CRM-IC-CI. You can use this BAdI to read billing documents and billing detail records from external billing systems to display them in Financial Customer Care and then create follow-on processes such as adjustment requests or disputes. The system always directly reads the objects to be displayed from the external system instead of persisting them in the CRM system.

The BAdI uses the external billing system ID as the filter criteria. This iinformation is passed to the BAdI through the business role that is used.

You can only use the functions for displaying external billing documents and billing detail records if the business function CRM_FCA_1 (FCC for Contract AR/AP) is active.

You must enter the external billing system that you want to use in the Customizing activity Define External Billing System.

You must assign the billing system to a business role in the Customizing activity Assign External Billing System to Business Role.

By default, the system reads objects from SAP Convergent Invoicing.

For more information about the standard settings (filters, single or multiple uses), see the Enh. Spot Definitions tab in the BAdI Builder (transaction SE18)

If you want to display objects from an external billing system other than SAP Convergent Invoicing, you have to create an implementation for this BAdI and implement the methods of interface IF_CRM_ISX_INV_DATA_GET.

For information about the implementation of BAdIs in the context of the Enhancement Concept, see SAP Library for SAP NetWeaver under BAdIs - Embedding in the Enhancement Framework.
