CRM_IU_DSM_BSC_FUNC - Basic Functions for DSM Processing

There are several basic functions you need to perform if you are customizing Demand Side Management Processing. These areas cover:
You must make the following Customizing settings for DSM processing:
In this activity, you need to define a partner determination procedure with the required partner functions. The partner determination procedure DSM00001 is part of the standard delivery and is used for DSM Application and Agreement.
Date Management
Define Date Types, Duration Types, and Date Rules
For the duration DSM_VAL_DURA (by default 6 months), two date types are delivered as standard for DSM management:
- DSM_VAL_FROM - Valid From
- DSM_VAL_TO - Valid To
These date types describe the due date and the validity of the application or agreement. For all these date types, the Data Profile and Milestone indicators are selected by default.
Different date profiles are also required. These are delivered under Define Date Profile:
- DSM_TASKis the date profile used for tasks in DSM and uses the following date types:
- Actual and planned dates (ORDERACTUAL, ORDERPLANNED)
- DSM_HEADER is the date profile used for applications and agreements and uses the following date type:
- Valid from and to dates (DSM_VAL_FROM, DSM_VAL_TO)
- DSM_ITEM: These are the items levels or the application, agreement and claim levels, respectively, which use the following date types:
- Billing date (BILL_DATE)
- Billing plan (DATE_FROM, DATE_TO, END_DATE, HORIZON, SETTL_FROM, SETTL_TO, START_DATE, PERIOD_DATE)
- Valid from and to dates (DSM_VAL_FROM, DSM_VAL_TO)
- Billing document creation date (INVCR_DATE)
The Service screen area should be selected for the date types DSM_VAL_FROM, DSM_VAL_TO.
Text Management
If you want, you can define a text determination procedure using Define Text Determination Procedure. In this activity, you fine tune your texts for either procedures and procedure determination, or, for access sequence, determination of access sequence and field assignment.

External Reference Profile
The external reference profile DSM is part of the standard delivery and is available for applications and agreements. It is used for the external reference DSM File Number. This profile is linked to transaction types IUAP and IUARin Customizing activity Assign Reference Profiles to Transaction Type.
If desired, you can define profiles for additional external references in Customizing activity Define Reference Profile.
