SAP E-Book

In this IMG activity you define tax rates and the tax due dates belonging to them.

From the payment flow in the lease, you can determine key figures, such as return on equity (ROE). During the calculation of key figures, estimated tax payments are included in addition to the original payment flow.

Date Entries for Tax Rates

For entering the tax rate for your enterprise, you need two date entries along with the sales organization. These date entries are: a read validity date and an application validity date.

  • The read validity date is the date on which the entry is read. In Leasing and Asset Management, this is the contract start date.
  • The application validity date in the Valid-from column refers to the due date of the payment for which the tax is to be calculated.

Tax Due Dates

The tax due dates specify the dates in the fiscal year on which taxes are due. They are specified dependent on the sales organization and the read validity date.

A relative portion of annual taxes is assigned to each due date. The year in the date does not have any significance.

  1. Enter the sales organization and the read validity date.
  2. In the Tax Rates substructure, enter the application validity date and the tax rate.
  3. In the Tax Due Dates substructure, enter the due dates and their relative proportion of the annual tax.
