In this IMG activity, you assign fiscal year variants to organizational units.

For the calculation of key figures, the determination of tax payment dates and the the calculation of depreciation are dependent on the fiscal year variant used. Only the start and end dates of the fiscal year are considered in the calculations.

Note
In the SAP R/3 System the fiscal year variant is dependent on the company code, but there is no company code in the SAP CRM System. For this reason the fiscal year variant is dependent on the sales organization.

Every year has to have twelve months, that is, shortened fiscal years are not permitted.
