This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the Listings (CRM-MD-LI) component. You can use this BAdI to provide the list of product categories and filter criteria. The filter criteria are in turn used to filter products under the categories. These product categories and product tree are finally displayed for a user in the Selection view of the Listing application. You can also use this BAdI to decide the default expansion level of the tree and the tree refresh attributes. While displaying the tree, you can choose to expand the tree based on category or based on hierarchy.

The system calls this BAdI only when BAdI: Product Category Hierarchy and Tree Attributes is not implemented.

The default implementation is designed to work together with the Customizing activity Maintain Product Categories.
