SAP E-Book

In this activity, you create the method schema, which determines how to generate product proposals and how the results of the methods must be combined.

Each method schema contains one or more methods (function modules) as required.

The system reads the method schema and runs through the individual methods in the order of the list.

You can also use your own function modules and combine these to make individual method schemas. These function modules must have a standardized interface and you must add them to the list of permitted function modules in this activity.

You use this activity if you want to use your own function modules for your method schema.

Note: S/4HANA for customer management does not support a separate assignment block for product proposal. Instead, the proposed items are rendered inside the normal item assignment block (also called item proposal). Also note that S/4HANA customer management does only support historic product proposal based on past orders.

SAP delivers the following method schema for product proposals in standard SD sales transactions (sales orders or quotations):

  • S00001 S/4 Product Proposals
  • Item Proposal based on past SD orders.

SAP delivers the following function modules that you can use with method schemas for standard SD sales transactions:

  • Item proposals based on past orders: Function module CRM_SALES_PP_ORDER_HIST_READ
