SAP E-Book

In this activity, you define a method schema for the determination of product proposals and item proposals.

When the user creates a sales order or quotation, the system reads the method schema and runs through the individual methods in the order of the list. Then it combines the results of the methods.

In the view Structure - Overview, you can assign predefined methods (function modules) to your method schemas.

For every product proposal type (for example, cross-selling), you can assign one or several methods by selecting the appropriate usage indicators next to the proposal type. The following usages are available:

  • Global
The product proposal will be valid for all business partners, independent of a target group or marketing profile.
  • Target Group
The product proposal will be specific for a target group.
  • Profile
The product proposal will be specific for a marketing profile.
  • Solution Configurator
Use this indicator only for provider orders that use product interlinkages.

Additionally, you can define that the system will remove duplicate results.

If you want to use your own methods (function modules) for your method schema, you can only assign these in the expert mode of this activity (see below). If a customer-owned function module is assigned for a proposal type, the indicator Custom will be selected and the settings for the proposal type cannot be changed in this activity.

For a list of standard method schemas and function modules, see the documentation for the expert view Create Method Schema (Expert).

You want to create a method schema for item proposals based on past orders and product listings. You create a new entry (Z00020 - item proposals) and select the indicator Global in the lines Past Orders and Product Listings.
