CRM_MKTPL_MKTPERM - BAdI: Enhance Field Control for Apply Marketing Permissions

This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM) component.

Usually, in SAP Standard, the marketing permissions checkbox is visible and changeable in UI for campaigns, campaign elements, and campaign templates if the communication medium has at least one of the following communication methods assigned:

• Telephone

• Internet mail (SMTP)

• FAX

• SMS/Pager services

If the marketing permissions checkbox is selected, then during campaign execution, the marketing permissions are applied (by SAP Standard) for the communication methods listed above.

You can use this BAdI to make the marketing permissions checkbox visible and changeable for a communication medium that does not have one of the communication methods listed above assigned to it.

Note: With this BAdI you can control the marketing permissions checkbox (in campaign planning), but not the applying of marketing permissions (during campaign execution) itself. For more information, see Dependencies.

You also have to take care concerning the application of marketing permissions (during campaign execution). Therefore, you can do the following:

• Use the following BAdIs:

• BAdI: Map Channel for Marketing Permissions Check for Campaign Execution

• BAdI: Map Channel for Marketing Permissions Check for HV Cpg. Execution

• Enhance the corresponding programs with customer-specific coding.

• Customizing settings for the communication medium are configured.

• A campaign, campaign element, or campaign template is being created or an existing one is being displayed.
