In this Customizing activity, you define the campaign to-dos for campaign management.

You can use existing to-dos, and add or delete campaign to-dos as you require.

If you have defined campaign type to-do Customizing, the campaign to-dos you defined are available for use in campaign type Customizing. After that, they are generated for the campaign when the campaign status is changed (mandatory to-do), or are available as suggested tasks (optional to-dos).

You can also define and transport texts for the descriptions of campaign to-dos, which then appear as field text names in the Campaign To-Dos assignment block.

You have maintained the campaign to-do processing types and categories in table CRMC_ACT_CAT_ASS.

You have mapped the campaign to-dos to a campaign type in Customizing in Customer Relationship Management, by choosing: Marketing Planning and Campaign Management -> Basic Data -> Define Types/Objectives/Tactics.

  • To add a new campaign to-do, do the following:
  1. Click New Entries.
The New Entries: Details of Added Entries screen appears.
  1. In the To-Do field, enter a unique four-character alphanumeric.
  2. In the Descriptionfield, enter a description of your new campaign to-do.
  3. In the Categoryfield, enter a valid campaign to-do category or use the Activity Category (Communication Type) search to find one.
  4. In the Transaction Type field, enter the transaction type for the campaign to-do. If you used the Activity Category (Communication Type) search to find and select a campaign to-do category, this field is filled automatically.
  5. In the Text Name field, select an appropriate text name from the dropdown list.
  6. Save your entries.
  • To delete an existing campaign to-do, do the following:
  1. Select the campaign to-do that you want to delete.
  2. Click the Deletebutton.

  • To change an existing campaign to-do, do the following:
  1. Select the transaction type, closed status, and text name that you want to use from the respective dropdown lists.
Edit the description accordingly.
  1. Click Save.
  • To create a text for a campaign to-do, do the following:
  1. Use transaction SO10 to create a text.
For texts for campaign to-dos, select text ID CATD.
  1. Define the text name, create the text, and save it.
The text name is displayed in the campaign to-do Customizing value help.

Texts are not transported automatically to other systems. To transport a text, refer to SAP Note 3355.
