In this activity you determine the message types for individual system messages that should be used during segmentation for specific or for all users. You can define which of the following message types should be displayed to the user:
- Information message
- Warning message
- Error message
However, you don't need to use every setting for every message. For this reason, you should also define the messages where the message type can be changed. You should also define which types are permitted for a specific message.
You can use the input help to display a list of messages that can be changed as well as the message types that are valid for these messages.
To define a message type other than the standard for all users, enter the message and message type and leave the column User empty.
To set a different message type to the standard for a specific user, enter the message, the user and the message type in the table.
At the moment only the message type for message 060 can be set for segmentation. This message is shown as a standard error message. More experienced users however may simply wish to have a warning. They can set this by selecting message type Warning under Online.
