CRM_MKT_SEG_TYPE - Define Usage for Segments

Each element used in segmentation (segmentation model, segment, target group, attribute list) must be assigned a usage belonging to one of the following usage categories:

  • Campaign execution
  • Segmentation basis
  • Product proposal
  • Processing group for business routing
  • Business partner group for business routing
  • Conditions
  • Partner authorization group
  • Data quality administration
  • High volume segmentation
  • High volume segmentation basis
  • Business Warehouse segmentation

The usage is needed as follows:

  • To control which users are able to process which segmentation elements (if you are using an authorization concept)
  • As a search criterion in graphical modeling when searching for segmentation elements
  • To prevent combinations of segmentation elements from classic segmentation, high volume segmentation, and Business Warehouse segmentation

The need for additional usages will depend, for example, on how many people work with segmentation, and whether you want to control who is able to process which objects.

The usages included in the standard delivery are to be viewed as proposals only and are supplied to enable segmentation to function correctly.

The customer namespace for your own usage IDs ranges from A***** to Z*****.
