CRM_NET_NUK - Define Number Ranges for Price Lists
General Data in Customer Master ABAP Short ReferenceThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
When a price list is created, it is assigned a unique number. In this activity you define the number range intervals in the number range for price lists. You can create new number range intervals or change existing ones.
You have the following options for assigning numbers:
- Internal number assignment
In this case, the SAP System automatically assigns a sequential number taken from the predefined number range interval.
- External number assignment
This option (where numbers are assigned manually from external number ranges) is currently not available.
You specify for each price list type the number range interval from which a number is automatically assigned. You do this in the next IMG activity (Define Price List Types).
You can transport number range objects as follows:
On the Display Number Range Intervals screen, choose Interval -> Transport.
Note: When you transport a number range object, any existing intervals of the object in question in the target system are deleted. In other words, after the transport the target system contains only the intervals you have transported. Number range intervals are imported as they were at the time of the export. Dependent tables are not transported or adjusted accordingly.
To define a number range, you have to insert a new number range interval. Proceed as follows:
-
Choose Insert Interval.
The Insert Interval dialog box appears. - Enter an alphanumeric ID (maximum 2 characters) for the interval.
- Specify the lower and upper limits of the number range interval. Remember: intervals must not overlap with each other (each number can occur only once).
- Choose Insert.
- Save your entries.
Note: The last number assigned in the number range interval is displayed in the Current number field.
