Goals

On the Goals tab page in the opportunity, you can enter the project goals to be achieved with this project, for example, the sales prospect's goals or your own goals, on predefined text types. Text types are provided for this purpose in the standard delivery.

You can find the settings for text processing in Customizing under Service -> Basic Functions -> Text Management.

Caution

Use the text object CRM_ORDERH provided in the standard delivery. Use access sequence OPSM0001. This access sequence contains a function module that determines the standard text.

In order that the Goals tab page can be displayed and processed in the opportunity, you need to assign the corresponding text profile to the transaction type. You can make this setting in the implementation guide under Service -> Transactions -> Basic Settings -> Define Transaction Type(Text determination procedure field).

Buying center

You can enter additional explanatory texts for each person in the buying center, for example, personal value proposition or personal decision criteria.

You can find the settings for text processing in the Customizing under Service -> Basic Functions -> Text Management.

Caution

Use text object CRM_ORDPTH provided in the standard delivery. Use access sequence OPSM0001. This access sequence contains a function module that determines the standard text.

In order that these texts appear and can be maintained in the buying center, the corresponding text profile has to be assigned to the transaction type. You can make this assignment in the implementation guide under Service -> Transactions -> Basic Settings -> Define Transaction Type (Customizing header, field: Project partner texts).

Competitors

On the Competitors tab page in the opportunity, you can enter texts for competitors, for example, competitor strategy, strengths, weaknesses. The standard delivery provides predefined text types for this purpose.

You can find the settings for text processing in the implementation guide under Service -> Basic Functions -> Text Management.

In order that the Competitors tab page in the opportunity can be displayed and processed, you have to assign the corresponding text profile to the transaction type. You can make these settings in the IMG under Service -> Transactions -> Basic Settings -> Define Transaction Type (Customizing header, competitor texts field).

Creating texts

You can create texts for each text type, for example, to create a specific text outline, specific questions that are to be answered, or additional information. These texts are then displayed in the opportunity for the selected text type, and can be added to.

You create the texts outside of the application menu for Service: Basis Tools -> Form Printout -> Sapscript -> Standard Text (transaction SO10). In order that the texts are determined correctly, consider the following name convention when naming the texts: CRM_OPPORT___Z
