In this Customizing activity, you can access a program to install the enhanced backend integration version of the organizational model in SAP S/4HANA for customer management. You can use the enhanced version to process multiple assignments copied from the sales structure in Sales and Distribution (SD) in your organizational model in customer management.

Note

If you run this program and switch to the enhanced version of the organizational model, you cannot return to the standard backend integration version, in which multiple assignments cannot be displayed.

In addition, divisions and distribution channels can only be assigned to the following organizational units, in the enhanced version of the organizational model:

• Sales organizations

• Sales offices

• Sales groups

If you are switching from the standard to the enhanced version of the organizational model in customer management, distribution channels and divisions that are assigned to neutral organizational units in the standard organizational model version are deleted by the system when the program is run.

If you are already using multiple assignments in your SD sales structure, this program is relevant for you.

We strongly recommend that you first run the program in test mode (Only Test) to avoid nonreversible data loss. The system displays a report providing an overview of the effects on your organizational data if you were to switch your organizational model in customer management to the enhanced version.
