In this IMG activity, you can customize SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM) for activities and email management in Duet.

The Dialog Structure pane on the left allows you select activities or emails for which the subsequent transaction type settings are displayed.

Note: Activities and e-mails cannot be configured to have the same transaction type. A transaction type defined for activities management cannot be specified for e-mails management, and a transaction type defined for e-mails management cannot be specified for activities management.

Activities Customization

  1. Under Dialog Structure choose Activities and E-mail.
  2. Choose the ACTIVITIES row.
The screen displays the following options:
Field Description
Attendee Check Select the indicator if activity attendees in Microsoft Outlook should be sent to SAP CRM as accounts-contacts as well as attendees. (For example, if this indicator is selected and a contact is included as an attendee in an Outlook activity, this contact is recognized and sent to SAP CRM as a #contact# and an #attendee#. If this indicator is not selected, the contact is recognized and sent to SAP CRM only as a #contact#.)
Days Ahead Specify the latest number of days (after the current date) the activities within which may be replicated in the client. For example, if 10 is entered here, all activities within the next ten days are replicated in the client.
Days Behind Specify the earliest number of days (before the current date) the activities within which may be replicated in the client. For example, if 10 is entered here, all activities within the previous ten days are replicated in the client.

  1. Choose Transaction Types.
The screen lists the transaction types for activities and displays the following details:
Field Description
Replication Type Displays the replication type for SAP CRM in Duet: R1 refers replication based on activities, and R2 refers replication based on emails.
Txn Type Displays the transaction types configured for activities management.
Description Displays the description for the transaction type.

  1. To define a new transaction type, choose New Entries.
  2. In the Transaction Type field, press F4 and select a value. Press ENTER to fill the Description field.

Note: If the New Entries button is not available, choose Change - Display. For a screen where user entry is locked, choose SKIP on the upper left side to enable user entries.

  1. Select a transaction type in the Transaction Type screen and choose Transaction Type Settings. The customizations for the selected transaction type are displayed.
  2. Choose Save.

E-mails Customization

  1. Under Dialog Structure, select Activities and E-mail, and then select the EMAIL row.
  2. Choose Transaction Types.
The screen lists the transaction type for emails and displays the following details:
Field Description
Replication Type Displays the replication type for SAP CRM in Duet: R1 refers replication based on activities, and R2 refers replication based on contacts. (You can specify the replication type by selecting the Define Account and Contact Management SettingsIMG activity.)
Transaction Type Displays the transaction types configured for activities management.
Description Displays the description for the transaction type.

Note: Only one transaction type can be defined for e-mails.

  1. To define a new transaction type, choose New Entries.
  2. In the Transaction Type field, press F4 and select a value. Press ENTER to fill the Description field.

Note: If the New Entries button is not available, choose Change -- Display. For a screen where user entry is locked, click the SKIP icon on the upper left side to enable user entries.

  1. Choose Transaction Type Settings.
The customizations for the transaction type are displayed. The screen displays the following options:
Field Description
Transaction type Specifies the transaction type for which the corresponding parameters are defined.
Replication Type Displays the replication type for SAP CRM in Duet: R1 refers replication based on activities, and R2 refers replication based on emails.
Outlook Organizer Select the parameter in SAP CRM that corresponds to 'activity organizer' in the client (Microsoft Outlook).
Outlook Attendee Select the parameter in SAP CRM that corresponds to 'activity attendee' in the client (Microsoft Outlook).
CRM Account Select the parameter in SAP CRM that corresponds to the 'account' in the client (Microsoft Outlook).
CRM Contact Select the parameter in SAP CRM that corresponds to the 'contact' in the client (Microsoft Outlook).

  1. After your changes have been made, choose Save.
  2. Choose E-mail Outgoing Categories to specify the email categories that can be sent from the Microsoft Outlook Client.
The screen displays the following options:
Field Description
Outgoing E-mail Category Specifies the e-mail category.
Description Displays the description for the corresponding e-mail category.

  1. Choose E-mail Incoming Categories to specify the email categories that can be received by the Microsoft Outlook Client.
The screen displays the following options:
Field Description
Incoming E-mail Category Specifies the e-mail category.
Description Displays the description for the corresponding e-mail category.

  1. Choose Save.
