CRM_PD_NOTES - Define Notes

Use this activity to write standard notes that are then available to describe team members on the Buying center tab in Opportunities. When you select a team member and choose Notes, the notes written here are displayed and you can choose those that apply.

The system includes commonly used settings.

1. In addition to the existing notes No contact and No information available, you write the note Information is questionable.
2. You create an Opportunity for a particular project, and enter Sarah Wilson on the Buying Centertab as the Prospect. You have heard that Ms. Wilson has good technical knowledge and significant influence on the budget of this project, so you maintain these characteristics for her.
3. However, neither you nor your colleagues are certain about this information, and none of you have met Ms. Wilson or spoken with her on the telephone. You select her name and choose Notes. All three notes are displayed and you choose No contactand Information is questionable.
4. Now any colleague who opens this Opportunity can read the information you have entered, and understand that it is important to make contact with Ms. Wilson and confirm the extent of her technical knowledge and budgetary influence.
