SAP E-Book

In this activity, you define a product hierarchy as relevant for pricing by assigning it to the appropriate pricing-relevant hierarchy and product type. This assignment enables conditions to be maintained in product hierarchy maintenance.

When pricing is performed in business transactions, the condition records maintained for the product hierarchy are used for products assigned to this hierarchy.

Condition records can be maintained for products at both product and category level, that is in product maintenance and category maintenance. Which condition records are eventually used in pricing is determined within the pricing procedure.

Note that SAP delivers the following sample data:

  • Condition types
0PH1 Product Hierarchy 1
0PH2 Product Hierarchy 2
  • Access sequences
0PH1 Product Hierarchy 1
0PH2 Product Hierarchy 2
  • Condition tables

Note: The Condition maintenance group PRCAT_CRM handles only CRM pricing-relevant hierarchy.

PRODUCTCATEGORY

The pricing-relevant hierarchy R3PRODHIER is used to display ERP conditions.

When replicating conditions specific to a category from ERP to CRM (for example, conditions with the fields PRODH1, PRODH2, PRODH3), you must assign the hierarchy replicated from ERP (generally R3PRODHIER) to the pricing-relevant hierarchy R3PRODHIER for the conditions to be displayed in category maintenance. For information concerning the replication of conditions relevant for product hierarchy, see SAP note 335202.

To select the ERP conditions, the category ID is mapped to the PRODH1, PRODH2, and PRODH3 fields (see standard Customizing in the Customizing activity Assign Field Catalog Fields to Pricing-Relevant Hierarchy). If the fields you created contain other fields corresponding to the category ID, you must enter these in this activity.

In order to display ERP conditions in the CRM product hierarchy maintenance you should create a new condition maintenance group which includes the corresponding ERP condition types and condition tables in the customizing activity Create Maintenance Group.

This new condition maintenance group needs to be assigned to the maintenance context PRODUCTCATEGORY in customizing activity Define Maintenance Groups for Context.
