CRM_PRODUCT_PRICHIER - Define Pricing-Relevant Hierarchies

In this activity, you specify how many product hierarchies can be used in parallel for pricing purposes. This in conjunction with the related Customizing activities below enables you to use the conditions functionality within the category maintenance transaction (COMM_HIERARCHY). This is particularly advantageous when working with a large number of products, as product conditions, such as prices, discounts, and surcharges, can be defined at the category level for an entire category of products, instead of at the product level solely for individual products.

Two pricing-relevant hierarchies, PRCATHIER1 and PRCATHIER2, are supported and delivered in the standard system. This is the maximum number provided by SAP. Additional hierarchies can be defined, but this requires modifications to the field catalog and access sequences.

Note that the pricing-relevant hierarchy R3PRODHIER is available to display conditions replicated from ERP in category maintenance.
