SAP E-Book

Whether product or object data can be changed in the CRM system depends on the logical system (original system) of the product or object concerned. For materials coming from ERP for example, where ERP is the leading system, downloaded data cannot be changed in CRM, although it is possible to maintain additional data such as relationships, texts, documents, and conditions for the downloaded product or object.

To enable data to be changed in CRM in such cases where it would not normally be allowed, you can specify in this activity for which product types data can be changed in the CRM system. You specify the product type and the relevant set types. For objects you also enter the object family.

These settings are evaluated in the CRM-specific implementation of the Business Add-In COM_PRODUCT_LOGSYS.

Restrictions

Certain data is subject to special rules and is not affected by this table:

  • Category assignment
Entries from a different logical system cannot be changed or deleted, although new categories can be assigned.
  • Taxes
    Can always be changed
  • Status
Can always be changed, with the exception of certain statuses for equipment.
  • Product variants
Configuration cannot be changed. The configuration of objects can be changed if the set type COMM_PROD_VAR is entered in the table.
  • Texts
Text types originating from ERP (table COMC_PR_TEXT_M) can only be displayed. This can be overridden in this activity.
Customer text types can always be modified.
  • Relationships
Relationships can generally be modified. The following relationship types cannot be changed when they originate from a different system:
  • Custr/Distr. Chain (PRDSCP)

  • Components:

- Set (STRSET)
- Display (STRDIS)
- Prepack (STRPRP)
  • Locations (PRDLOC)
