CRM_PS_CRMV_PS_IPP - Define Item Proposal Profile

In this Customizing activity, you use item proposal profiles to define the strategies used to evaluate and transfer requested benefits as items in the social application (SOA), as items in the payment request, as entitlement items in the social service plan (SSP) or as deduction items in the social deduction plan (SDP).
For SSPs, an item proposal strategy (IPS) is used for entitlement determination.
You can define the item proposal strategy using Business Rules Frameworkplus (BRFplus) or Business Add-In technology. Social Services also supports the usage of SAP NetWeaver Decision Service Management(DSM). To use DSM-based rules, you must select the checkbox Use DSM.
The item proposal strategy you define for social applications, payment requests, social service plans or social deduction plans supports the output of the following parameters as a minimum as item data:

IPS for Social Application
- You use the BAdI CRM_PS_IPS_SOA_BADI to create the IPS as a BAdI implementation with method FILL_IPS_LIST.
- You use the following the BRFplus objects to create the IPS as a BRFplus rule:

IPS for Payment on Request
- You use the BAdI CRM_PS_IPS_SOA_BADI to create the IPS as a BAdI implementation with method FILL_IPS_LIST_PREQ.
- You use the following the BRFplus objects to create the IPS as a BRFplus rule:

- For a rule-based creation of requestable items the table CRMT_PS_IPS_LIST_ENH_T includes the additional field ENTITLEMENT_RELEASE_MODE to indicate requestable entitlement items as requestable.
IPS for Social Service Plan
- You use the BAdI CRM_PS_IPS_SSP_BADI to create the IPS as a BAdI implementation with method FILL_IPS_LIST.
- You use the following BRFplus objects to create the IPS as a BRFplus rule:

IPS for Social Deduction Plan
- You use the BAdI CRM_PS_IPS_SDP_BADI to create the IPS as a BAdI implementation with method FILL_IPS_LIST.
- BRFplus is not supported for the social deduction plan.
You assign the item proposal profiles defined here to the relevant social application, social service plan or social deduction plan transaction types.
- Create an item proposal profile (IPP).

Select the usage of an IPP for a social application or for a social service plan.
(Choose the transaction category Social Application to define an IPP for payment requests) - Select one of the two strategy categories for the profile, and define the item proposal strategy:
- BRFplus: Define the relevant item proposal strategy in a BRFplus function with the correct signature for process step IPS. Specify the BRFplus function and application under Detail Settings in this Customizing activity.
- BAdI: Create the item proposal strategy as a BAdI implementation under

- Optional: For the social application item, you can override the partner and its partner function defined in the transaction header. In such cases, you specify the partner function in the item proposal profile and must define the transfer of a partner for each item in the relevant item proposal strategy.
- Go to the Customizing activity Define Transaction Types, and specify your defined item proposal profile for the transaction type of a social application.
