CRM_REVACC_INTEGRATI - Description of Revenue Accounting Integration

The SAP CRM (CRM) service application is integrated with SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (Revenue Accounting). This integration supports the user in recognizing revenue for service transactions according to the regulations of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS15). Two scenarios are supported:
- CRM service contracts with periodic billing and time-based revenue recognition
- Package quotations that are used to create a bundle of customer orders, service contracts, and service orders using revenue recognition for multi-element arrangements
You have set up the integration of the CRM service application with:
- Accounting including controlling in the system
- One of the following:
- The Billing Engine in your CRM system
- The Sales and Distribution (SD) process for billing of your CRM service transactions. You have installed the SD integration component for revenue accounting (add-on component REVRECSD) in the system.
You have to make the following settings in Customizing in the system, CRM, and Revenue Accounting under:
CRM:
Make the settings in Customizing for CRM under Customer Relationship Management -> Transactions -> Settings for Service Transactions -> Integration -> Revenue Accounting Integration -> Description of Revenue Accounting Integration.
Revenue Accounting:
Make the settings to set up CRM as your operational system in Customizing for Revenue Accounting under Financial Accounting (New) -> Revenue Accounting -> Inbound Processing -> Revenue Accounting Item Management -> Define Sender Components.
