This Business Add-In (BAdI) is intended for processing web request forms. It is filter-dependent, which means that the filter value is the respective request category. The BAdI only needs to be implemented if you want to support default field values and entry checks when processing forms for web requests.
You can use methods of this BAdI to influence form processing at certain events and thereby control the following customer-specific settings:
- Define default settings in accordance with the person placing the request or other influential factors
- Make entries in fields of the person placing the request
- Carry out an entry check with the corresponding error message
- Influence partner and organizational data determination by overriding the activity reason
By default, no additional method call is needed for a new request. Only once the BAdI has been implemented and activated for the request category (filter value), the implemented methods are called for the duration of form processing.
