CRM_SOC - Define Social Media Channels and User Accounts

In this Customizing activity, you can define social media channels, such as Facebook and Twitter. If you are integrating social media into the interaction center, you can also configure social media user accounts for each social media channel. Each user account can be mapped to a default category.

  • You have a user account in the social media channel.
  • For each channel, you have created a class and implemented the defined methods based on the abstract class CL_SOC_CLIENT_ABSTRACT. For more information about this abstract class, see SAP Note 1832462.
  1. Enter a channel code and channel description.
  2. Select the Channel is Active checkbox if you want to retrieve post data from the social media channel. If you deactivate this channel, all the user accounts will be deactivated, regardless of the active indicator setting on the user account level.
  3. Enter the name of the class that you created based on the abstract class CL_SOC_CLIENT_ABSTRACT.
  4. For each channel, create user accounts information.
  5. Select the Channel is Active checkbox if you want to retrieve post data for this account.
  6. Select a social media relevant main category in the field Main Category. All the posts retrieved by this account are set to this category by default.
