In this activity, you define in which sequence the system should search for response times that are valid for a currently open service request. You define a sequence of SLA sources that the system should check if a response profile and a service profile is assigned. These profiles are the basis for the calculation of the dates and durations in the processing times.

The system processes the response time determination procedure as follows:

  • In Customizing activity Define Processing Times, you assign the response time determination procedure to the processing time. By doing this for a specific processing time, you determine the sequence in which the system should check SLA sources whether a response profile or a service profile is assigned. For determining the response times, the system uses the first SLA source in the response time determination procedure that contains a service profile and a response profile.
Example
You enter the organizational unit with sequence 1. With sequence 2 you enter the reference objects (IBase).
The system first checks the organizational unit whether a service profile and a response profile is assigned.
  • If this is the case, the system uses the service profile and response profile of the organizational unit.

  • If this is not the case, the system checks whether these objects are assigned to the reference object (IBase).

  • If no service profile and response profile is assigned to the reference object (IBase), the system uses the default profiles that you have assigned to the processing time.

  1. Define the response time determination procedure in field SLA Determination Procedure.
  2. Select your entry and choose Access Sequence.
  3. Enter the SLA sources in the sequence, in which the system should search for a related processing time.
