In this Customizing activity, you can modify the value of three processing parameters, described in turn below, that are found in action definition SRV_SEND_EMAIL_SVY of action profile SERVICE_REQUEST_SEND_SURVEY.

  • The first parameter, MAIL_FORM_TEMPLATE, is optional; the mail form assigned to this parameter will be applied by default. If the survey program cannot derive the appropriate mail form template by means of the category modeler, then it applies the template defined in this parameter. For example, if only one mail form template is to be applied for the survey in question, then you only need to assign the name of the mail form to this parameter.
  • The second parameter, SVY_TEMPLATE, like the parameter before it, is optional, and is used to define a value to apply by default. Like the first parameter, the template defined in this parameter is applied only if the survey program cannot determine, by means of the category modeler, the correct survey template.
  • The third parameter, DEFAULT_SENDER_EMAIL, contains the value that appears on the Sender line of the survey mail that is sent. Assuming that a value has been defined for it, the third parameter is significantly more important than the first and second parameter, because the value in this parameter is displayed as the e-mail address from which the survey originated. If no value is defined for this parameter, then the survey program applies the e-mail address of the agent to appear on the Sender line.

If you wish to modify the values of any or all of these parameters, then perform the following procedure.

  1. Execute the present Customizing activity.
  2. On the subsequent screen, choose Position....
  3. In the resultant dialog box, specify action profile SERVICE_REQUEST_SEND_SURVEY, then choose Continue.
  4. Highlight the table entry that corresponds to this action profile, then choose Action Definition from the dialog structure at left.
  5. On the resultant screen, select Processing Types from the dialog structure at left.
  6. On the screen thereafter, in the Settings Method Call subscreen, for method ESSC_SRV_SVY, choose Edit.
  7. Modify the values of each parameter, as desired.
  • Note
If you wish to modify the standard processing of action profile SERVICE_REQUEST_SEND_SURVEY, whose source code resides in implementation CRM_ESSC_SRV_SVY of Business Add-In (BAdI) EXEC_METHODCALL_PPF, then you are required to define an action profile of your own, along with a new implementation of the BAdI. Moreover, if you want to define your own start condition and schedule condition for the action, then you must define your own action profile, with new implementations for the Business Add-Ins EVAL_STARTCOND_PPF and EVAL_SCHEDCOND_PPF, or else use existing condition parameters. After you have defined your own action profile, you must maintain it for your own transaction type, or for transaction type SEIC. To do this, in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management (CRM), choose Transactions -> Basic Settings -> Define Transaction Types.
