Attributes are parameters that define the scope and responsibility of a territory. All attributes delivered as part of the standard setup are categorized under condition groups and are active by default.

You can use this Customizing activity, to do the following:

  • Activate or deactivate territory attributes and
  • Define additional attributes. You can create additional attributes within SAP delivered condition groups or create one of your own and define attributes within that. Additional attributes should be created in the Z or Y namespace.

To deactivate attributes,

Select the Attributesfolder in the Dialog Structure and double click on the attribute you want to deactivate. Disable field Activeand save.

To create a new attribute:

  1. Select a rule object, click Display/Change
  2. Click New Entries
  3. Maintain the following fields:
  • Condition Group ID: ,,This allows you to group conditions.

  • Description: ,,,,This serves as a short description of the rule object

  • Business Object: ,,You can choose one of the existing business objects if you have selected an SAP delivered rule object in which to create attributes, or you can define one.

  1. Save and then click on the Attributes folder. Maintain the following fields here
  • Attribute ID

  • Description

  • Active: Enable this check box to be able to see this attribute on the WebClient UI when you maintain territories

  • Reference Table and Reference Field: maintain both fields, in the following cases:

  1. For the Mobile Sales (laptop) scenario. They provide information to map the subscription generator for attributes. Refer to customizing table CRMC_TERRATTRPRP.
  2. If the additional attributes you are defining apply to Products. These fields help dentify additional attributes.
  • Ref. Object Type: This helps identify the additional attributes you create. You can maintain the following values, depending on the condition group in which you create the attribute:

BUS1006 - If the attribute is created under the Business Partner Object Type
BUS1178 - If the attribute is created under the Product Object Type
For Sales Areas, you have only the sales organization, distribution channel and division to maintain and these are already available as part of standard delivery
  • Applicable Operators: Enable the required operators for this attribute. This is to make them available when you create rules for a territory based on this attribute.

  1. Add the include structure created in step 4 to BOL search object structure CRMST_TMIL_SEARCH.
  2. The technical name that is maintained in the Component column of CRMST_TMIL_SEARCH is avalable in the configuration screen of the Territory Management search component. You can maintain an appropriate description in the configuration screen.
  3. For input help for this new attribute, to maintain the attribute list, and to perform field checks, complete step BAdI: Implement Business Logic for Additional Attributes

Result: The attribute you created will now be available as a condition you can use to define business rules for territories
