You use this Customizing activity to update territory relationships. You have to update territory relationships in case of the following:

  • There are master data changes that could affect territory relationships.
Accounts, products, and sales areas define the scope of a territory. Changes to this master data could affect the account-territory, product-territory, and sales area-territory relationships. For more information, see Master Data Notifications.
  • New rules have been created or existing rules, modified.
Note: Only active rules are considered when regenerating territory relationships.
  • You have completed the following steps in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management, by choosing Master Data → Territory Management:
  • Business Add-Ins → BAdI: Implement Business Logic for Changes in Account Data

  • Business Add-Ins → BAdI: Implement Business Logic for Changes in Product Data

  • Master Data Notifications

  • You have created rules for territories and activated them in the WebClient UI.
  • You have created variants for both the initial and delta update mode. Create variants as follows:.
  1. In the Process Territory Relationships screen area, choose Initial.
  2. Choose Goto → Variants → Save as Variant. Enter a Variant Name and Meaning. Save the variant. Save a variant for the delta mode in the same manner.

Since the entire process is time consuming, schedule a batch job for this activity:

  1. In the SAP Easy Access screen, use transaction se38.
  2. In the ABAP Editor: Initial Screen, choose Variantsas the sub-object and enter program CRM_TERRMAN_PROC_REL.
  3. Choose Program -> Execute -> Background.
  4. Enter Variant Name and choose Schedule. Provide the necessary scheduling details and the territory relationships will be updated at the scheduled time.

Note: When you setup the system for the first time, complete data migration and schedule the report program to run in the initial mode. You can run subsequent updates in the delta mode - as and when there are master data changes, and new rules are created or modified.
