Before you can transfer trade promotions automatically from SAP CRM to SAP SCM, you must make the following settings for SAP CRM middleware.

  1. Create the site. To do so, from the SAP Easy Access menu, choose Architecture and Technology → Middleware → Administration → Administration Console (transaction SMOEAC).
In the top-left corner of the screen, select Sitesas the object type and create the site. In the Object Information: Sitepart of the screen, assign a site of type APO Promotion Interface.
  1. Maintain data for this site. To do so, choose Site Attributes .Here you can see the relevant attributes from SAP SCM. Maintain these attributes:
  • RFC destination. This is the SAP SCM system that you want to use.

  • Characteristic to be used for the product in SAP SCM

  • Unit of measure to be mapped to SAP SCM. The conversion of the unit of measure is based on the master data maintained for the product.

  • Planning area and planning version from SAP SCM

  • Key figure for calculating the baseline in SAP SCM

  • Logical system for SAP ERP. This is an optional entry. You use it to map products to SAP ERP materials when you are creating promotions in SAP SCM. For more information on the significance of the logical system for mapping, see the documentation for BAPI BAPI_PRMSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI.

  1. Create a subscription for this site. Subscriptions link the publication, in this case Campaigns (MESG), to the site you have created.
  2. Create a planning profile containing all of the settings for reading the appropriate planning data.
In Customizing, assign this profile to the relevant planning profile group with planning profile type APO by choosing Marketing → Marketing Planning and Campaign Management → Key Figure Planning → Define Planning Profile Groups.
  1. For the display pallet scenario, you need to define a planning profile group that contains the settings for reading the distribution key that is used to distribute the uplift quantity from product category to SKU level.
In Customizing, assign this profile to the relevant planning profile group with planning profile type APO Distribution Key by choosing Marketing → Marketing Planning and Campaign Management → Key Figure Planning → Define Planning Profile Groups.
However, you can impact how these distribution keys are determined by implementing a BADI.
  1. If you want to make customer-specific enhancements to the standard methods delivered by SAP, implement the following BAdI in Customizing by choosing Marketing → Marketing Planning and Campaign Management → Additional Fields and Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) for Marketing Planning → BAdI: Additional Marketing Project Checking and Controlling Options .
  2. Transfer to SAP SCM is dependent on the status of the promotion.
In the standard delivery of SAP CRM, you can only transfer a promotion to SAP SCM if business transaction CAPO is permitted. This is the case, for example, when the system status Released is set. Alternatively you can create a user status that allows the transaction CAPO in a status profile and assign this to the promotion. You can do this in Customizing by choosing Marketing → Marketing Planning and Campaign Management → General Settings → Change Status Profile for User Status .
  1. Check your BDocs. To do so, from the SAP Easy Access menu, choose Architecture and Technology → Middleware → Monitoring → Message Flow → Display BDoc Messages →(Transaction SMW019). Select Bdoc type MKTPL_MKTELEM.
Register the queues CSA_MASS_MKTPL, CSA_MKTPL*, AI* and CRM_MKTPL_APO_INT in SAP CRM. You can check and change anything that needs to be changed in SAP CRM.
  1. If any errors occur when replicating to SAP SCM, you can view these errors in the trade promotions in SAP CRM.
