In this activity, you can define the authorization domain and the authorization scopes for attachments. The authorization scopes enable you to control the authorizations for attachments for different user groups. For example, you define the scopes Public, Internal and Confidential.

First you define an authorization domain ATTACHMENT with authorization handler class CL_CRM_AUTH_SCOPE_STATIC_CHK. Then you define the authorization scopes for the authorization domain.

Note
This function does not pass the Business Add-In BAdI: Authorization Check on Document Level (CRM_DOC_AUTHORITY).

As a prerequisite, the business function CRM_ITSM_COM needs to be active.

In the standard system, no authorization scopes are assigned to the authorization domain ATTACHMENT. If you do not define the authorization scopes, the system does not check the authorizations. This also applies if you delete the authorization domain.

  1. Select authorization domain ATTACHMENT
  2. Choose Authorization Scopes.
  3. Define the authorization scopes that you need to cover your security requirements.
  4. Edit the authorization object CRM_AUTHSC and assign it to your user roles (transaction PFCG).
