SAP E-Book

In this IMG activity, you define the following:

  • Info blocks for the Object Information Sheet views
  • Views for the Object Information Sheet
  • Assignments of info blocks to views
  • Assignments of views to user roles
  • Conditions for displaying the Object Information Sheet in the relevant business transaction

For the Object Information Sheet to be displayed in the business transaction, the following prerequisites must be met:

  • You have created a technical user (transaction SU01). This is necessary for communication within the Object Information Sheet. Restrict the authorizations for the user.
  • You have launched the HTTP server on the application server (transaction SMICM). Choose Goto -> Services. Select a service with the protocol HTTP or HTTPS and activate it.
You can also create a new service or change an existing service.
CRM_OIS default_host → sap → crm
CRM_BSP_OIS default_host → sap → bc → bsp → sap

To maintain an HTTP service, right-click the service you require. In the Anonymous Logon Data group box, enter the technical user you created earlier.
  • You have defined the RFC destination CRM_OIS (transaction SM59). The RFC destination can be found under RFC Destinations -> HTTP Connections to R/3 System. On theTechnical Settings tab page, enter an application server as the target host. In the Service No. field, enter the port on which the HTTP server runs and in the PathPrefix field, the path to the HTTP service CRM_OIS. In the standard system, this is /sap/crm/crm_ois. On the Logon/Security tab page, enter the technical user and select an appropriate logon procedure.
  • You have defined your own info blocks in the Class Builder, if required. Create a suitable ABAP OO class. Your classes must be derived from the class CL_OIS_IB_ROOT or from a subclass. Implement or overwrite the methods of this class.

  6. Save your entries.
