Using this activity, you can display business transaction components that you created with the Easy Enhancement Workbench (EEW), in the CRM WebClient UI. (A business transaction component is created based on a set type defined in the product master, and the related attributes.)

Once you have executed this activity, the BSP component BT_GEN_EXT is made available as an assignment block in the corresponding overview page of the selected BSP component, for example BT131I_SLS.

You must also copy this BSP component to the list of displayed assignment blocks, so that the fields can be displayed in the assignment block.

Note: You need to copy these changes from the development system to your production system. To do so, choose a transport request after you have executed the activity.

Remarks:

This transaction creates a new BOL object, which contains every field of the business transaction components, and a field for the description. This BOL object is only necessary for the use of BSP component BT_GEN_EXT in the CRM WebClient UI; the business object layer (BOL) does not supply it with data.

The name of the new BOL object is the name of the BOL object (without description) that was generated in the EEW for the business transaction component, with the suffix _UI.

The system also creates a new component use for the BSP component BT_GEN_EXT, in the runtime repository.

For more information, see Create UI Configuration for Business Transaction Components.

  • You have created a new business transaction component in the Easy Enhancement Workbench.
  • You have created an enhancement set for the corresponding BSP component.
If you want to adapt the CRM WebClient UI to your requirements, you must have created an enhancement set in the UI Configuration Tool for the BSP component.
  • In Customizing for SAP CRM, you have assigned the business transaction component to an enhancement profile, under Customer Relationship Management -> Transactions -> Basic Settings -> Enhancements with the Easy Enhancement Workbench -> Define Enhancement Profiles.
  • In Customizing for SAP CRM, you have assigned this enhancement profile to an item category, under Customer Relationship Management -> Transactions -> Basic Settings -> Enhancements with the Easy Enhancement Workbench -> Assign Enhancement Profile to Item Category.
  • For product-dependent enhancements, you must also assign the set type to the corresponding product, which the user enters at item level.

You want to display an additional assignment block at item level in the sales order. Proceed as follows:

  • In the UI Configuration Tool, you have created an enhancement set for the BSP component BT131I_SLS, for example, ADD_POS_INFO.
  • In the Easy Enhancement Workbench (EEW), you have created a new business transaction component, for example, ZORDER_EXTENSION.
This creates a new configuration for the BSP component BT_GEN_EXT, with the component use ZORDER_EXTENSION.
  • If you now want to use this business transaction component at item level of the sales order in the CRM WebClient UI, call transaction CRM_UI_GEN_BTC. Enter the following data:
  • BSP Component: BT131I_SLS

  • Enhancement Set: ADD_POS_INFO (= name of the enhancement set)

  • Business Transaction Component: ZORDER_EXTENSION

  • Overview Page Component: SOIOverView

  • Set the UI Configuration indicator.

  • After you have executed the activity, the BSP component BT_GEN_EXT is available in the configuration of view SOIOverView, as an additional assignment block. You just need to copy this BSP component to the list of displayed assignment blocks.
