CRM_USEFUL_STRA - Define Strategies for Determining Normal Useful Life

This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the Leasing and Asset Management component (CRM-BTX-CTR-LCO).

You can use this BAdI to define the strategy for determining the normal useful life (NUL).

In the corresponding IMG activity, you define the strategy that the system uses to calculate the normal useful life.

The following strategies are available:

• Table value of NUL
  Under this strategy, the system reads the maximum value for the normal useful life from table CRMV_DEVTYPE_TIM.

• Remaining NUL
  Under this strategy, the system calculates the difference between the billing start dates of the current lease and the previous lease at item level, and subtracts this difference from the normal useful life. The system copies the remaining value as the normal useful life to the new item of the follow-on document.

• Upgrade
  Under this strategy, the system calculates the upgrade with the highest value. If that value lies below the threshold for increasing the normal useful life, the system calculates the remaining value of the normal useful life. If the value is greater than or equal to the threshold, the system calculates the value of the normal useful life from table CRMV_DEVTYPE_TIM.
