CRM_WEBREQ_EXT_KPRO - Set up External Content Repository

In this Customizing activity, you set up a customer-specific external content repository for the XML request data accumulated as content in Web requests.

We recommend storing XML request data in an external content management system, especially if you anticipate a high data volume (large number of requests or request versions) when using Web requests. The content repository for Web requests, which is normally preset to the SAP database, lacks the scope necessary for extensive use of Web requests.

You have installed your own customer-specific content management system.

For Web requests, storage category CRM_WEBREQ is set by default to the content repository CRM_WEBREQon the internal SAP database.

1. Create customer-specific content repository

Create your own content repository in IMG activity Define Content Repositories.

1. Create customer-specific storage categories

Use IMG activity Define and Assign Content Categories to create your own storage category.

1. Replace SAP storage category with your own storage category

Go to IMG activity Define Standard Category and enter your storage category for document class CRM_WB_PDR (Request Data for Web Requests) under New Categories. This overrides category CRM_WEBREQ, which was assigned by SAP.
