CRM_WFL_NAV_ALERT - Define Alert-Specific Navigation

You can use this Implementation Guide (IMG) activity to customize the navigation options that are available in alerts in the worklist to fit your business needs.

To do so, assign object types and actions on the user interface (UI) to alert categories.

It may be necessary to define your own navigation if more than one business object type from the business object repository (BOR) is to be linked with one UI object type, for example.

Note the following effects of the settings made in this Customizing activity at runtime:

• When an alert is opened, the worklist checks first whether alert-specific Customizing settings exist. In other words, the system looks for settings made in this Customizing activity.

• If the system does not find any such Customizing settings, the normal navigation, which is based on the BOR object, occurs. In this case, the system also checks whether method IF_CRM_UI_OBJ_MAPPER~GET_ENTITY_FROM_BOR for the BOR instance can output a BOL entity, and combines the BOL entity with the navigation indicator in the data transfer for the navigation.

When you use this standard navigation, the UI action Edit is always used.
