In this section, you can find the settings for configuring and customizing Workforce Deployment (WFD) for Retail. WFD is a tool you use to create workload forecasts and optimized employee schedules

Customizing and configuring WFD requires the following general steps:

1. Configuring the general rules and settings that define your store, which WFD refers to as a Location.

2. Defining how WFD creates forecasts.

3. Defining how WFD calculates schedules and schedule cost.

WFD links employees from CRM or HCM in the form of Business Partners (type Employee), which you maintain using the transaction Maintain Business Partners(transaction code BP). You define the root location for your organizational structure and link employees to a specific location using the transaction Create Organizational Model(transaction code PPOCA_CRM).
