CUST_LOG_PROD - Define Handling of Logistical Products

In this Customizing activity, you enable the use of logistical products by specifying the base unit of measure to be used for procurement products that will be created. Furthermore, you can define detailed settings to control the logistical product creation and their usage in logistical processes.
In the standard system, a base unit of measure for procurement products is not specified. By default, the business process for logistical products is not enabled.
If the business process for logistical products is enabled, it is possible to configure the usage of source list entries for logistical products. By default, the usage of source list entries is enabled.
You can specify that the base unit of measure to be used for procurement products should be the same as one of the following:
- Base unit of measure of the associated sales product
- Issue unit of the procurement product
If you have specified a unit of measure to be used for procurement products, you can disable the usage of source list entries by setting the indicator Do Not Use Source List.
If procurement products are then created based on these settings and using the specified base unit of measure, it is not possible to then change the setting later.
