In this IMG activity you assign the department numbers for the business partner to the department numbers for the contact person in the customer master record. This assignment is relevant for the synchronization of the business partner in Customer/Vendor Integration.

• You have set the department numbers for the customer master records in the IMG activity Define Standard Departments.

• You have set the department numbers for the business partner in the IMG activity Define Departments.

• You have activated the assignment of department numbers in the IMG activity Activate Assignment of Contact Persons.
