Define systems for the advanced EoP check.

In this configuration step, you define systems that you can then assign to system groups. System groups can be used to meet the requirements of a multi-system landscape with dedicated leading and dependent systems for customer/ supplier master data. If you want to block/ unblock customer/ supplier master in such a system landscape, this step is mandatory.

Before you can maintain systems, you must define a configuration leading system using the process switch LANDSCAPE_V2_CONFIG_MASTER_SYS. For this, go to configuration step Define Values for Process Switches.

To define a system, choose Display -> Createfrom the application toolbar and follow below steps:

  1. In the Systemcolumn, enter the name of the system to be registered.
  2. In the System Descriptioncolumn, you can further describe the system. The description maintained for a system ID is language-dependent.
  3. Choose Save.

You use the systems you defined here to perform the following actions:

  • Assign the system to a system group using configuration step Define System Groups. When making the assignment, you can define whether the system should be a leading or a dependent system.
  • Assign a logical system to it in configuration step Make Technical System Settings.
  • Define logical ports to the system to enable connection via SOA service using configuration step Make SOA Settings.
