In this Customizing activity, you define and store SAP application names and SAP application components for applications that use customers or suppliers with a different software layer. The application name is used to run the end of purpose (EoP) check for customers or suppliers for these applications.

You must maintain this Customizing activity following an SAP Note.

You have the following options:

Register Function Modules – You use this to define and store which end of purpose checks are to be run for an application that uses customers or suppliers.

Register RFC Destination – You use this to create and store a list of systems that are connected to the leading system. The interim results are read from the connected systems and sent to the leading system.

In the delivered Customizing, SAP provides predefined application names for standard applications that support the end of purpose check for customers or suppliers, via an SAP Note.

  1. Select the type of the master data for which the application name should be relevant. The following types are supported:
  • '1' Customer master data

  • '2' Supplier master data

  • '3' Contact Person

  1. Enter the SAP application name, which represents your application in the end of purpose check for customer and supplier master data.
  2. Enter the Application component, which is a unique.
  3. Select the Generalcheckbox to call the application specific EoP check method, during the execution of the EoP check for customer master data or supplier master data on a client at a general level.
  4. Select the Comp. Codecheckbox to call the application specific EoP check method, during the execution of the EoP check on company code.
  5. EoP Priority indicates the order in which the system processes the application.
Note
SAP might suggest an order for a given application. However, the customer can choose a specific order.
