DARTX_0004 - Define ABAP Dictionary Structures

In this Customizing activity, you can define ABAP Dictionary structures for the Data Retention Tool extended (DARTX).

You can do the following:

• View existing structures

DARTX structures have the prefix TXCRM_.

• Enhance existing structures

To do this, fill the customer include. All structures corresponding to the DARTX segments have an empty INCLUDE structure. The names of these INCLUDE structures start with CI_. You can add fields to such an ABAP dictionary structure by adding fields to the INCLUDE structure.

If you are adding fields from the same table or tables that are the source table(s) of the other, existing fields in the segment, and the fields have the same name as the name of the fields in those source tables, then you have finished the process of adding the fields to the DARTX segment. If this is not the case, then you have to implement the BAdI Mapping to Segment to fill the new fields.

• Create new structures

If you want to create a new segment, you have to create a new structure. Then you have to define a segment that has the same name under Define Segment.
