DEF_SETTINGS_PRNCPLE - Make Settings for New Accounting Principle in General Ledger

This document describes which additional activities and settings you might have to execute for the subsequent introduction of a further ledger. The activities are as follows:

• If you would like to use a manually created ledger, then you will need to define a ledger group in the Customizing activity Define Ledger Group.

• Define the accounting principle in the activity Define Accounting Principles.

• Assign the accounting principle to a ledger group in the activity Assign Accounting Principle to Ledger Groups.

• For ledger-group-specific postings, define the document number range for entry view in the activity Define Document Number Ranges for Entry View.

• For ledger-group-specific postings, define the document types for the entry view in the ledger in the activity Define Document Types for Entry View in a Ledger.

• In the area of foreign currency valuation maintain settings in the following Customizing activities:

• Define Valuation Methods

• Define Valuation Areas

• Assign Valuation Areas and Accounting Principles

• Define Account Determination for Currency Translation
