In this Customizing activity, you can define codes with a description for each business object type. You can then add these codes when business objects are assigned to platform codes. This enables you to add additional information and perform evaluations.
Note: You can use this Customizing activity to enter values that can be selected from the dropdown list for the “Assignment Detail 2” field in the “Assign Platform Codes” app.
You must define the business object type first in the "Define Business Object Type" activity.
- Select a predefined business object type.
- Enter a code and description.
- You can maintain multiple records for a specific business object type.
You can predefine codes for the business object type description by entering text according to your requirements. One example of this is shown below:
Business Object Type | Extension | Text | ||
WBS | F | FM-Derive | ||
WBS | X | Something else | ||
You can use detailed values in the table that is used to assign platform codes to business objects.
