DIRECT_ASSIGN_PRT_M - BAdI: Direct Assignment for PRT Material

You implement this Business Add-In (BAdI) if you want to assign preselected auxiliary data to a PRT of the type material. That is, you select the auxiliary data that you want to assign to a PRT and create the PRT using the selected data. The BAdI then directly maps the selected auxiliary data to the PRT.

This BAdI contains the following method:

• DIRECT_ASSIGNMENT_PRT_MATERIAL

You use this method to create a mapping between the item value names and the material PRT fields including additional logic for processing required screen fields and error handling.

This BAdI is only relevant if you work with auxiliary data.

In the standard system, an activated BAdI implementation exists.

The BAdI is designed for multiple use.

A filter is used to separate implementations.

Create your own BAdI implementation using the example class: CL_MPE_STA_BADI_EXAMPLE_PRT_M

1. Use transaction SE18 to launch the BAdI builder.
2. Enter the enhancement spot ES_MPE_STA_DIRECT_ASSIGNMENT and click Change.
3. Right-click the implementation EX_MPE_STA_DIRECT_ASSIGN_PRT_M and select Create BAdI Implementation.
