DMEE_BADI_02_ABA - BAdI: Read Format Codepage

You can use this Business Add-In (BAdI) to determine the codepage to be used for source data when DMEE trees are processed.

Different character encodings can have different representations for the same character, that is, their length in bytes can differ.

If you do not implement this BAdI, the codepage is system-dependent, which may result in unexpected results if exact character lengths in bytes are required.

This BAdI is called during DMEE tree processing in case you have selected the Enable Length in Bytes checkbox on the File Data tab in transaction DMEE for the relevant DMEE tree.

This BAdI contains the READ_CODEPAGE (Read Codepage from PMW format) BAdI method, which returns the required codepage for the source data of the relevant format tree.
