DMS_VC_VWR_NAVIG - Maintain Viewer Profile

In this Customizing activity, you can define a profile for adding custom context menu options to the Viewer. This profile can be linked to an application and to a role.

You can set only one profile as default. If no application or role-specific profile is maintained, the default profile is active in all viewing applications.

To define a profile, perform the following:

• Maintain a Viewer Profile

• Select the Viewer Profile entry and navigate to Usage.

• Enter the Usage and Role details.

For example, if the profile is specific only to DMS and not to other applications using Viewer, maintain DMS in usage.

• After you have maintained a profile, you can perform the following:

• Define Navigation via Launchpad:

This setting is maintained if the user has to navigate to an SAP GUI transaction or URL from a viewing application using launchpad settings.

SAP delivers launchpads to allow navigation to quality notification (create, change, display) and material (change, display).

*To create a quality notification entry from SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Viewer, enter values for Customizing entries as follows:

Application Alias:,,QM_CREATE

*To change a quality notification entry from SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Viewer, enter values for Customizing entries as follows:

Application Alias:,,QM_CHANGE

*To display a quality notification entry from SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Viewer, enter values for Customizing entries as follows:

Role: ,,,,,,VE_VIEWER

Instance:,, ,,NAVIGATE_QM

Application Alias:,,QM_DISPLAY

*To change a material entry from SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Viewer, enter values for Customizing entries as follows:

Role: ,,,,,,VE_VIEWER

Application Alias:,,MM_CHANGE

*To display a material entry from SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Viewer, enter values for Customizing entries as follows:

*Save your changes.

• Define Standard Actions

This setting is maintained if the standard actions need to be triggered from SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Viewer.

The following action IDs are supported:

*CLEAR_CONFIGURATION

*FILTER_CONFIGURATION

These settings allow the viewing of a configuration specific file from a generic file (all configurations), which is created from Visual Enterprise Manufacturing Planner and associated to a configurable material.

The configuration to be applied can be read from objects like sales order, production, material variant, and so on. The configuration applied file can be exported using the Export feature in Viewer to be associated to a material variant.

• Define Excluded Actions

This setting is maintained to allow the user to exclude the viewer context menu actions which are not relevant to a user group.

Example:

If the print function has to be excluded from the viewer menu, enter values for Customizing entries as follows and save:

• Save your changes.
